Michelle & Chris delivered their first child, Maxwell, in 2005. In anticipation of this wonderful and life-changing event, Michelle read all the current parenting magazines and watched the latest parenting shows in order to be fully informed of the new journey ahead. She noticed that there were many specialty or high quality products featured in the shows and publications. However, none could be found in the local mainstream department stores. The option of ordering online had long and expensive shipping times to consider. In the process, she quickly realized the limitations of the Newfoundland market for products that cater to the needs of mothers, babies and young children. With larger stores merely providing the basics and essentials, Michelle realized that a niche needed to be filled for a place that offered the customer a selection of unique, original items for the new mom and young child.

The idea of “Coo Chi Coo, A Unique Retail Store for Mom, Infant & Toddler” was conceived. After a long labor of love, the doors are now open and all the great new products only seen in magazines and on television are now available locally!

Michelle looks forward to sharing all her knowledge as a new mother, and is thrilled to be offering a personable, unique shopping experience for parents, grandparents and all those buying for that special new bundle of joy in their lives.
